• The process of choosing a school happened at a very difficult time....right in the middle of comment writing in Feb. Also, we had to get back with our choice within a week. Suggest starting the process, with lots of reminders, in the fall so we can better research schools, programs and people we may want to visit
• Check school calenders to see if the divisions we want to visit are at school on the day we plan to visit.
• Once the GCDS committee member has made the initial contact with the administrator at a particular school, let the department, division or even an individual teachers (depending on how many are planning to visit the same school) have direct contact with department/teachers they will be visiting. Administrators don't always know what is going on in a particular department and can inadvertantly give incorrect information.
